Who We Are

Our Folklore means "The story of our people, "Folk” meaning people and “lore” meaning story".

Our Folklore is a community organization that services children and families in the African-American and Caribbean communities to empower, enlighten and educate each person to become a positive and effective community member.

Our Mission

Our mission is to instill self-pride, knowledge and respect in each member of the African-American and Caribbean community by offering mentoring guidance, cultural arts awareness and civic engagement porgrams.

Our Goal

Our Folklore's goal is to equip our children with the necessary skills so they can soar beyond their highest expectations by highlighting literacy, communal importance and personal success.
